4. Dots Per Inch (DPI): This term is used to describe quality of the computer monitor and printer. Specifically, laser printers have more dpi resolution than monitors. Hence, higher the dpi resolution means better quality.

5. Mega pixel: A photo composed of three to four mega pixels will have a better quality that a photo with only one mega pixel.

6. Resolution: Resolution is the over all quantity of pixels in a photo. Increasing the resolution would make the image become sharper. Thus more pixels are needed to achieve a better photo image quality.

7. Pixel: A Pixel is the tiniest part of the digital photo. A photo image is composed of combined millions of pixel.

The Art Of Digital Photography

We live in a constantly changing world through technology. Even the arts have changed constantly because of technology. Think of it: drawings from coal to painting to photography to digital imaging, and we have come a long way in the visual arts. We have used different methods in capturing life and stilling time.

New technology is being developed constantly to make art easier and more fun. However, you should know that the art of digital photography is not as simple as just pointing and shooting your camera! The art of digital photography requires a lot of skill to be really successful.

Although some people may reason that the art of digital photography can always be edited after the fact, a lot of people do not really know how much work is is in editing properly. Sure, we can say that technology has reached such a high a level that people can do almost nothing to create a great photograph. But, without knowing how to use the tools properly, their work will almost always suffer.

For the art digital photography to be truly mastered, there are three things you must consider. These three things are 1) Time, 2) Talent and 3) Investment.

Let’s dive into these three things more closely:

1) Investment: As mentioned earlier, you proper tools to be successful in the art of digital photography. This means that you will need to invest a lot of money. Although there is a lot of the art digital photography equipment, which can be purchased on the cheap prices, better equipment needs some serious pocket drilling.
